For sale is a Vintage 1961 Ludwig School Festival 6.5×15 Snare Drum in Red/Silver/Red Sparkle in good players condition. Shell is in great condition, in-round with factory edges and interior paint. Barely readable faint black datestamp of XXX XX 1961. The wrap is tight with normal wear, minimal fade on the red and the silver has yellowed slightly. Nickel over brass hoops with a few dings. Nickel hardware has some oxidation and wear. Three locations of metal stamping of number 523 on top hoop, bottom hoop and one lug. Pre-serial keystone badge. No extra holes. Overall a great drum and an awesome sounding, booming snare!
